Plymouth Master Plan

Located along the Atlantic ocean this project involved the development of a landscape master plan for 4 adjacent properties owned by a single client. The goal of the project was to provide landscape options showing how to unify the four properties into one design vision but still allow a level of individuality and separation between them. Option (A) unified the properties through the use of abstract, horizontal planting strips that created common front and rear yard spaces. A linear wood pergola with low stone wall added to the horizontal gesture and provided a division between the parking areas and the front lawn spaces. Option (B) created a gesture through the site that emphasized the views to the ocean. This was done through the layering of a linear pattern of plantings, lawn, and paving surfaces with the most dense/highest planting strips defining the division between each property.
