This project explores different deck and landscape options for a residential backyard space. Some of the main design elements included an elevated wood deck, raised planting beds, garden storage spaces, a paved patio space adjacent to the house, and a focal element such as a fire pit or water feature. The owner also desired a greater sense of privacy. To accomplish this a combination of planting and fence elements where located along the backyard perimeter. This creates an enhanced sense of enclosure and privacy while still preserving a central lawn area that could be used for active recreation or occasional large gatherings and events.
